My name is Luis Carro, was born in’49, I learned the craft of visual communication in the hands of my father, then a professor of cinema and photography at the University of Tarragona Education, and am an active photographer since’72, all dedicated this time a very different fields of photography and audio-visual realization.

The year 1972 opened a studio, Stage Studies, which appears to be at that time was the first small school shooting in Barcelona, at the same time to take photos of medical and pharmacological.

In’73 until’75, it combines with the realization of cinema in Super 8 and 16mm. Large numbers of surgical operations for display in medical congresses in various clinics.

In early 1976 I joined as a partner and director of the newly formed production Moral & Muntaner, devoted entirely to the audiovisual production.

I made several years during the projection mounts spectacular clubs, erotic content. Xaloc Club and Pacha in Ibiza, among other.

It was in’77 when I pieced together my own production company, Konica Audiovisuals SA together with a partner, in charge of all production as well as its realization. As of this moment and with great success, we made the main events of the time, as examples are but a few:
Multivision pan. (Freixenet)

It was the first time in mounting large format projection in Spain, was installed in the dome of the main building of Freixenet, playful way to explain the whole process that involves the development of Cava.

It consisted of a twelve slide projectors driven by a microprocessor and in sync with the music and the voice-over, make up a panoramic projection shaped puzzle.

National Campaign for UCD (central government in Madrid)

Creation of videos and institutional assembly and installation of ten vans equipped with a back projection screen, an audiovisual piece sung all the excellence of UCD by then, at the next election campaign and who traveled throughout Spain.

Endavant Catalunya. (Generalitat de Catalunya)

In October of’82 years and under a large white tent that was installed in the Plaza de Catalunya, was lucky to be able to perform again, the biggest audiovisual never done to date, and it was composed of various elements. On the one hand the images of landscapes that all parties in Catalonia and in widescreen and I realized I expanded in a colossal in backlight, and that made up the entire perimeter of the tent.

At the center installed a substantial size screen on which was projected at all times, a spectacular view of Catalonia with its people, its festivities, its landscapes, … all at the bar of music composed especially for the event, mixing with the ambient sound of the shots and special effects sounds.

The projection was mixed, so the screen is filled with the image provided by twenty slide projectors that iban training mode and reredos in three parts, all of the images or independently. To this is added at certain times the projection of 35mm film. in the central part, which was achieved as soon take a motion picture.

The realization of the images took me three months, touring Catalonia steadily, along with three people on my team that traveled in a motor-home.

This exhibition was presented at the Mercat del Born and the Plaza Colon in Madrid, was different pieces of audio-visual projectors more or less, but certainly the most unique was completely new to another time in Spain, was installed a dome or semi -plastic sphere with a radius of about four meters, which remained swollen for a system of fans. The interior had a projection of 180 °, thus half the average field, was a projection.

It occurred to me that there could project a fantastic journey, and uncommon on the streets and avenues of Barcelona.

The result was very impressive, because the shots made with a 35mm camera. mounted in the nose of a car through the streets of Barcelona on camera quickly. The image takes another jumping from a helicopter, from between the buildings, just over the rooftops.

It was all in 35mm film. with lenses in the projection as in the shots, panoramic view of 180 degrees.

Multivision very special and pioneer again, that was mounted in the Palau Robert, and which consisted of twelve screens in a circle as a square, 360 º, once located in the center, the viewer could see and found in virtually every of places with more body Catalunya. A contemplation accompanied by an evocative music.

Multivision for Barça museum. (LAUS prize’84)

Premiered at the same time as the museum and a hall attached to it, with fifteen meters and thirty-six-screen projectors, with quadraphonic sound.

The content is what I imagined would be an ideal day for any culé. Began the day with panoramic views of the city where the clouds were colored blue, scarlet, followed the awakening of the city, small flashlights on grounds barça everywhere, in cars shirts, … At the same time saw the team in training Nou Camp,

On the other hand people approaching the field for a game. Gamper Party with multicolor fireworks at the end with the colors of the Club.

It took me a long time because in addition to carrying out all the photography and the synchronization of the projectors, as usual, I also made sound recordings throughout the city as well as in the stadium. I was awarded the LAUS award for this work.

Català Modernisme. (Ajuntament BCN Art and Cunceil of London)

Large audiovisual program, the image which was made with a panoramic camera high-definition format of the original 6 × 17 cm. This was projected on a screen while central details did so on both sides of the principal.

The content was about the excellence of Catalan modernist architecture, including those made outside of Catalonia.

Premiered at the Barbican Center of London with great success, and then went off to San Francisco, Tokyo, Berlin, Sydney, Paris, … and of course also in Madrid and Barcelona.

Multivision for the Natural Park of Montseny. (Diputació BCN)

The inauguration of this great assembly was held in June 1987 and was a benchmark as to what in a slide show of this type could be found. This has restored an old house in Santa Fe del Montseny, “Can Married” and enabled its entire top floor for the event,
(Still active today with each passing hour), and installed everything needed to give those feelings that surround the viewer.

The program takes us on a beautiful and lush for a tour of the Park of Montseny and its formidable four square kilometers of the hands of music composed especially for this purpose by my friend and former colleague Josep More “Kitflus.

This tour through the four seasons, he gave me the opportunity to pass a “Kitflus” a very precise script of images and sensations that I had “bottled” previously, and how East

The result was fantastic and soon was accompanied by a tremendous success. KONIC AUDIOVISUALS S.A.

Since 1977, my own production company. Owner was responsible and 50% of all production and realization. We participated with great success in major events of the moment, such as:

- Freixenet: Multivision pan on the development of the cava. First mounting large format projection in Spain.

- UCD: national electoral campaign. With projector audiovisual vans toured throughout Spain. Video.

- Generalitat de Catalunya: Campaign Endavant Catalunya. Mayor audiovisual so far. Tent with panoramic images, 20 slide projectors and 35mm film.

- Ajuntament de Barcelona: Campaign fàbrica Catalunya d’Espanya. Audiovisual exhibition that included a projection of 180 on the inside half of the swollen area 4 meters in diameter.

- Generalitat de Catalunya: Campaign Noves Ciutats Velles. Multivision pioneer with 12 screens in 360 º.

- Museo del Barça: Multivision screen projectors 36 and 15 meters. The content is what I imagined would be an ideal day for any culé. I did the photography and sound recordings. LAUS Award 1984.

- Barcelona City Council and Art of London: “Catalan Modernism.” Audiovisual large on Catalan modernist architecture. Premiered at the Barbican Center of London, and later showed up in San Francisco, Tokyo, Berlin, Sydney, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona.

- Diputación de Barcelona: Multivision “Natural Park of Montseny. Diaporama installed across a floor of an old house. Effects such as smells, sounds of animals, wind … still in operation since 1987.
